METRO GOLD LINE EASTSIDE EXTENSION DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT
LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (LACMTA)
The East Light Rail Transit Project is an extension of the Metro Gold Line from
Pasadena to Los Angeles. The extension allows for a dual track configuration in the center of selected streets and will provide for high center platform stations along the alignment. Responsible for the drainage design, drainage plans and profiles, hydrology and hydraulic calculations for the project. Responsible for design of drainage systems within the trackway, streets, park and ride lots, station plazas and substations. Required to obtain approval for construction from MTA, LABOE, LACDPW and CALTRANS of drainage facilities within their jurisdiction.
SAN FERNANDO VALLEY BUS RAPID TRANSIT DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT
LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (LACMTA)
The SFV BRT consists of 13.5 miles of a dedicated busway corridor connecting the
North Hollywood Metro Rail Station and the Wagner Center Transit Hub. The project is designed to accommodate a double track light rail system in the future. The project includes the design and reconstruction of 33 street crossings in the City of Los Angeles. Responsible for the drainage design, drainage plans and profiles, hydrology and hydraulic calculations. Responsible for the design of drainage systems within the busway, streets, park and ride lots and station plazas. Responsible for obtaining agency facility permits and third party coordination. Responsible for responding to RFI?s and providing post design and construction support for the completion of the engagement.
SAN FERNANDO VALLEY BUS RAPID TRANSIT DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT
LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (LACMTA)
The project required a redesign of 4 existing parking lots (Sepulveda, Van Nuys,
North Hollywood and Reseda Park) in an effort to gain spaces for parking for the development of Bus Rapid Transit system. The new design was in compliance with Los Angeles County standards for storm water treatment (SUSMP), as well as ADA disability requirements. The existing lots varied in sizes but ranged from approximately 50,000 square feet to 200,000 sf and were redesigned to expand to over 350,000 sf.
RESERVOIR STREET GRADE SEPARATION, POMONA CALIFORNIA
POMONA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
The Grade Separation construction cost of $60 million was design to improve
safety,
eliminate traffic congestion and reduce locomotive horn noise at the key railroad
crossing in the City of Pomona, California. Responsible for providing the following
design services; roadway geometric design, roadway plan and profiles, typical
cross-sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, preparation of an overall
site-grading plan and the development of preliminary and final plans and costs estimates.
I25/I40 SYSTEM INTERCHANGE DESIGN BUILD PROJECT
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO
The "Big I", located in the heart of Albuquerque, the only full urban free-to-freeway
interchange in New Mexico. Working on an aggressive16-month schedule, participated in completing engineering design plans for the complex reconstruction of I-25/I-40. Provided technical expertise to support new geometric design for the full freeway-to freeway interchange. Analyzed and designed street horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevations diagrams, grading, and roadside designs. Role required extensive travel to project office, interaction with clients and the coordination ofdesign services and functions with third party organizations. Provided post design and construction support.
